Spring class is Full!

Program

We warmly invite children aged 3–5 to join our Weekend Polish Language Class – a place full of laughter, creativity, and discovery! Our class meets once a week and is led by Anna Korolczuk, an experienced and passionate primary school teacher who loves working with young children.

Each Sunday, our classroom transforms into a cheerful Polish-language world filled with songs, stories, art, and movement. The primary language of our activities is Polish, allowing children to absorb new words and phrases through fun and play naturally. For little ones who are just beginning to learn Polish, we gently support them with English when needed, helping everyone feel confident and included.

Our program combines the best of early childhood education with a focus on Polish culture, language, and traditions. Every weekend, our classes are carefully planned to give children a balanced mix of fun, learning, and creativity.

Each day begins with a morning circle, when the group gathers to start the day together. Children sit in a circle and use a “talking stick” to take turns sharing stories, thoughts, or simply how they feel that morning. If a child prefers not to speak, they can simply say “pass.”

This routine builds emotional awareness, confidence, and a sense of belonging. After the morning meeting and reading, children participate in hands-on activities connected to the day’s theme. These include artistic and craft projects using paints, crayons, templates, and cutouts — encouraging imagination, creativity, and independence through exploration.

Reading

9:15 - 9:45

Language & Storytime: We explore new words, read stories, and engage in conversations to naturally expand vocabulary and comprehension. Learning through Exploration: Children discover basic concepts in math, nature, science, and history through age-appropriate experiments and games.

Music

9:45 - 10:45

Movement & Music: Children start with lively songs, dances, and rhythm games in Polish to wake up their bodies and minds. Music Focus: Led by Krystyna Krystecki, children enjoy interactive musical games, sing songs, and occasionally prepare performances for special events like a Christmas concert.

Activities

10:45 - 12:15

Creative Play & Arts: Hands-on activities like crafts, drawing, and imaginative play help children express themselves and learn about Polish culture and traditions. Social & Emotional Skills: Group activities teach cooperation, sharing, empathy, and respect for others’ boundaries.

Throughout the year, we will celebrate Polish holidays and traditions together – from Andrzejki (St. Andrew’s Day) and Mikołajki (St. Nicholas Day) to a joyful Christmas concert, where families are invited to join and enjoy their children’s performances.

Outcomes

Our class philosophy is simple: children learn best when they play, explore, and feel connected. We focus on relationships, joy, and curiosity — creating a warm, caring environment where every child feels proud of their Polish roots and is excited to return each week.

Our Motto - Learning through play
